K9Home ("we", "us", "the App") is operated by K9 Home LLC, a Washington limited liability company headquartered in Kirkland, Washington. K9Home helps homeowners scope home renovation projects and get bids from contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Share Information

Anonymous by default: While a project is open for bidding, contractors can see the project's scope and estimate, but not your name, address, email, or phone number.
Revealed on acceptance: Once you accept a contractor's bid, your contact info and address are shared with that contractor (and theirs with you) so the work can proceed. Contractors are required to use homeowner contact information solely for the accepted project.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with advertisers.

3. Service Providers We Use

These providers process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms:

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep project and account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account) or through our Account Deletion Page. In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Deletion requests submitted by email are processed within forty-eight (48) hours. In either case, we delete or de-identify your personal information within thirty (30) days, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations (for example, payment transaction records), or where data persists in encrypted backups for a limited period before being purged.

5. Your Choices

You can edit or delete your project data from within the app.
You can delete your account in the app, or see our Account Deletion Page if you no longer have access.
You can request a copy of your personal data by contacting us (Section 8).
You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
You can decline location permission; you may then need to enter your project address manually.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@k9homebid.com and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosting on Google Cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
